I will be honest, I actually thought this was a alien with a really odd beard but then I saw the title and I went "oh, yeah, that makes sense".

Your choice of colours is beautiful, it does compliment the origin of "Yggdrasil". As a fan of mythological/cosmological material, I love how chosen colours, it makes me not only appreciate the complexity of their world but be fearful (respectful) of them that even though they are holy and pure but deems to be respected.

I can imagine how beautiful this looks in a 3-D environment, imagine these colours and structure in a 3-D scale<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/f/f…" width="18" height="17" alt=":faint:" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="420" title="I think I've fainted."/>.

My issue with this is, it is too flat whilst the darken of certain areas help convey a sense of depth it is not enough. Certain distortions must be done to truly help convey Yggdrasil as a living breathing myth, to give Him structure, to give him appeal... "distortions must be done".

Overall, this is a very beautiful piece. I love the little details. Really, I can imagine this on a 3-D perspective and trust me, it's really beautiful!
